Getting to know Lynne

Lynne has been part of the Omega family since 2021, and over the years we’ve had the pleasure of getting to know her incredibly well. She’s known for her fantastic sense of humour, her positive outlook on life, and her determination to keep achieving her goals.

Whether she’s making us laugh, sharing stories about her latest adventures, or celebrating another personal milestone, Lynne is always an inspiration. We recently caught up with her to ask a few fun questions so you can get to know her too.

If you could spend a day doing anything you wanted, what would it be?

I’d spend the day with cats—I absolutely love them! I’d also be out in nature, enjoying the fresh air.

What’s a small achievement you’ve celebrated recently?

I recently adopted a cat named Misty from the Cat Protection Society. She has brought so much joy into my life.

I’m also heading off on holiday to Northern Queensland this weekend! I can’t wait to explore the Daintree Rainforest and soak up some much-needed sunshine.

Another achievement I’m really proud of is my progress at the gym. I can now walk around the corner independently without my walker. I’m gaining confidence every day.

What’s your favourite activity to do with your Omega team?

I love attending my group sessions, going to the gym, watching movies, listening to live music, and going out for dinner.

Do you have any funny stories about your staff?

Nothing I’m willing to share… haha! I have a wicked sense of humour, so we’re always having fun and sharing plenty of laughs together.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Always be kind and thoughtful to others.

You only live once, so live your life and believe in yourself.

After having to learn to walk and talk again, I’d also tell anyone recovering from an injury to be patient with themselves. Life may look different than it did before, but it can still be an amazing life.

What’s something you’re really proud of?

Learning how to walk and talk again is something I’m incredibly proud of. I’m proud that I continue to live a fulfilling life and keep working on myself every day.

I’ve also recently stopped drinking alcohol because I want to live the healthiest and happiest life I can and make the most of every single day.

What’s something people may not know about you?

“I’m very funny!

I used to be a nurse.

And I have some amazing tattoos.
